Princess Eugenie Opens Up About Motherhood Amidst Family Turmoil

Royal Reflects on Parenting and Passion for Charity

Princess Eugenie has described becoming a parent as a “mind-blowing experience” that has intensified her commitment to her charitable work.

In a heartfelt interview with The Anti-Slavery Collective, the organisation she co-founded in 2017, the Princess of York shared how motherhood has transformed her perspective and deepened her dedication to combating modern slavery.

“Becoming a parent is the most special experience. My children make my world go around. It’s made me even more passionate about the work I do,” said Eugenie, who has two young sons with her husband, Jack Brooksbank.

She expressed her desire to educate young people, including her own children, about issues of vulnerability and empathy: “I want to teach my children and all young people about modern slavery, so they understand these important issues early on.”

Her comments come at a challenging time for the York family, following the release of A Very Royal Scandal on Amazon Prime, which revisits Prince Andrew’s controversial 2019 Newsnight interview and its repercussions on both Princess Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice.

Despite these difficulties, Eugenie remains focused on her role as a mother and advocate, emphasising the impact parenthood has had on her life’s work. She and Jack Brooksbank are parents to sons August, three, and Ernest, one.
