Camilla Joins King Charles at Braemar Gathering to Mark the Second Anniversary of the Queen’s Passing
Queen Camilla returned to Scotland to stand by her husband, King Charles, as he marked the second anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's passing. Despite a busy schedule, Camilla made sure to be with the King during this significant moment, attending the Braemar Gathering, one of Scotland's most famous Highland Games events.
King Charles, dressed in a traditional kilt and sporran, appeared in good spirits at the event, but there was an emotional moment when he was seen wiping away a tear, likely reflecting on memories with his late mother. The Braemar Gathering was a particular favourite of Queen Elizabeth, and the King had often attended alongside her, sharing many joyful moments.
The Royal Family shared highlights from the event, including the King’s new role as Patron of the Braemar Royal Highland Society, a position his mother held for six decades. Camilla’s presence brought comfort to the King on this poignant day, as they honoured both the traditions of the games and the memory of the beloved late Queen.
