Royal Consort Shows Support at Dyson Cancer Centre Opening During Family's Challenging Time
Queen Camilla has made a touching public gesture as King Charles and Catherine undergo cancer treatment.
Buckingham Palace issued a significant message addressing their ongoing health challenges. Queen Camilla attended the opening ceremony of the new Dyson Cancer Centre at Royal United Hospitals (RUH) Bath NHS Foundation Trust, marking her return to royal duties after a family holiday at Balmoral.
The Palace spokesperson shared, "Today, The Queen spent time with patients and families, learning about their treatment and the support they have received."
In addition to meeting NHS staff, volunteers, and clinicians, the Queen Consort was briefed on the centre’s innovative technology. The statement also highlighted the Dyson Cancer Centre’s therapeutic environment, which opened in April and includes a @macmillancancer Wellbeing Hub.
Camilla's gesture is particularly poignant as her husband and daughter-in-law continue their treatment. The Palace concluded by wishing all those undergoing treatment a successful recovery.
