Real Reason Behind Catherine and William’s Move from Kensington Palace Unveiled

Prince and Princess of Wales hailed for a heartfelt decision driven by family ties.

A royal author has revealed the true reason behind Prince William and Catherine's decision to leave Kensington Palace and relocate to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor. According to Robert Jobson, the Prince of Wales made the move to be closer to his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth, after the passing of Prince Philip in April 2021.

In his biography Catherine, Princess of Wales, Jobson shared that William wanted to spend more time with the Queen during her final months, with the full support of his wife. The couple’s decision allowed them to be geographically closer to Windsor, where they maintained regular contact with the Queen, both in person and over the phone.

Jobson explained, "William recognised that his time with his grandmother was precious, and Catherine understood the significance of supporting him during this period as he balanced his role as future King." The couple’s decision strengthened their bond with the late Queen, offering her comfort in her last days.
