The Duke of Sussex appears to be revisiting his strategy as he considers a return to the UK, reportedly turning to his former aides for counsel. Following a discreet visit to the UK for the funeral of his uncle, Robert Fellowes, Prince Harry is said to be re-evaluating his approach, particularly in light of concerns raised by King Charles and Prince William.
Dissatisfied with the advice he received in the US, Harry has reconnected with Edward Lane Fox, his former private secretary, to strategise his return, according to a source cited by the Mail on Sunday. "Harry is distancing himself from Hollywood publicists and seeking advice from old friends and associates," the insider revealed, noting that the Duke recognises the need for a change in his approach.
The source added that Harry has already reached out to several old friends in the UK via WhatsApp. However, when asked for comment, Lane Fox declined to provide any insight, stating, "It's not something I've got a view on, I'm afraid," according to The Sun.
Friends of the Duke believe that if Harry avoids publicity and remains discreet, there is hope for a successful return to the UK. This appears to be the path he is taking, as evidenced by his quiet attendance at the funeral and his decision not to update his memoir, Spare, which is due for a paperback release in October.
