Buckingham Palace Issues Urgent Security Warning for King Charles and Prince William

Royals Forced to Abandon Electric Cars Amid Cybersecurity Fears

King Charles and the Prince of Wales have been advised to ditch their electric vehicles due to emerging security risks. Despite their commitment to environmentally friendly practices, including switching to electric cars, cybersecurity concerns have arisen over the technology in these vehicles, prompting immediate action from Buckingham Palace.

Cybersecurity expert Robert Pritchard warned that electric cars are more vulnerable to cyberattacks due to the advanced technology embedded in them. In particular, concerns have been raised over Chinese-manufactured components, which could allow external entities to access location data or even remotely control the vehicles.

The King, who was recently seen driving a Lotus Eletre SUV—a model partially owned by a Chinese firm—alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales, may now be reconsidering his use of these cars. Although the self-driving function is disabled in the UK, the risks of hacking remain high.

Buckingham Palace has not provided an official statement on the security measures being taken.
