Duchess of Cambridge seeks reconciliation amid ongoing royal rift
Catherine, the Princess of Wales, has reportedly reached out to the Duke of Sussex, seeking a private meeting to mend their strained relationship. According to sources, the two have been in contact for a few weeks, and during his recent visit to the UK for the WellChild Awards, Harry agreed to a private discussion with his sister-in-law.
An insider revealed to Closer Magazine, “Catherine has been speaking to Harry on and off, hoping to salvage their bond and understand what’s going on with him. When she suggested meeting one-on-one, Harry immediately accepted, giving her hope for reconciliation.”
Catherine, who recently completed her cancer treatment and revealed she is now cancer-free, is said to have a “new perspective on life,” which motivated her to reach out. She believes that a heart-to-heart without Meghan Markle present could allow them to speak openly and resolve their differences.
While Catherine hopes to act as a mediator between Harry and William, the brothers remain estranged, with no plans for a reunion during Harry's trip. King Charles, currently at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, is also not expected to meet with his younger son.
