Princess of Wales’s Touching Message Resonates with Actress Manisha Koirala
Catherine, Princess of Wales, recently extended a warm and uplifting message to Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala, who has bravely faced her own battle with ovarian cancer.
The letter, sent after learning of Koirala’s inspiring health journey, moved the actress deeply. In an interview with Nepalese publication Online Khabar, Koirala expressed her gratitude, saying, "I am deeply heartened to receive such a warm response from [Catherine].”
Diagnosed in 2012 with stage 4 ovarian cancer, Koirala has been in remission and actively advocates for equitable healthcare and cancer awareness. She uses her platform to encourage others to understand the importance of recognising early symptoms and supporting those affected by the disease.
Catherine, who revealed her own cancer diagnosis in March, temporarily stepped back from the public eye to undergo preventative chemotherapy. In September, she shared the good news with her family and the public, announcing she was now “cancer free” after nine months of intensive treatment.
