Rumours of a possible reconciliation between the Duke of Sussex and the Royal Family continue to circulate, despite his 2020 decision to step down from royal duties and move to California with Meghan Markle and their young family.
While King Charles and Prince William may be open to repairing their strained relationship, an insider has revealed Queen Camilla’s strong reluctance to embrace any such possibility.
In his memoir released in January 2023, Harry criticised Camilla, casting her as a “wicked stepmother” and accusing her of harbouring ambitions to better her public image. A source, speaking to Closer Magazine, disclosed, “Camilla is wholly against any return for Harry, even a casual visit. She has no interest in forgiveness or reconciling.”
According to the insider, Camilla perceives Harry as a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” who brings “stress and turmoil” wherever he goes. She believes any interactions between Harry and King Charles could harm the King’s health and unsettle the family.
“If he does receive an invitation back to the UK, he would be wise to keep his distance from Queen Camilla,” the source added.
