Princess of Wales Set to Join Royal Family for Christmas as She Resumes Public Duties
Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, is expected to surprise her fans with a joyful announcement as she prepares for her gradual return to royal duties after successfully overcoming cancer. Reports suggest that Kate will be joining the royal family at the Sandringham Estate for Christmas this year, according to an insider.
After stepping back from public life earlier this year due to major abdominal surgery, Kate is said to be under "no pressure" from the royal family to resume her duties. However, she is eager to return to public life at her own pace.
A source told Express UK, "Kate is on the guest list for this year’s Christmas gathering. She’s excited to join her children and family for the holidays, but there’s no pressure for her to attend. If she’s not feeling up to it on the day, the family will completely understand."
This year's Christmas dinner will be held in a buffet-style format, which was successfully trialled last year in the ballroom. The royal family is expected to enjoy a traditional roast dinner spread with all the festive trimmings.
Last month, Kate confirmed that her preventative chemotherapy had ended and expressed her eagerness to participate in future royal engagements. Her recent appearance alongside William in Southport to meet bereaved families marked her first official outing since completing treatment.
