Kensington Palace releases heartwarming video of Prince William honoring environmental advocate

Prince of Wales pays tribute to Jacinda Ardern in touching ceremony

Kensington Palace has released a delightful video of Prince William paying tribute to former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern for her environmental advocacy. The Prince of Wales honored Ardern by presenting her with the title of Dame Grand Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit at Windsor, recognising her significant contributions to the state.

In a message accompanying the video on social media, the palace wrote, "A friend, an extraordinary advocate for the environment and now a Dame Grand Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to the State. @jacindaardern it was a privilege to present you with this deserved award at Windsor today!"

This heartfelt tribute came as Prince William continues to take a leading role in royal duties, particularly as King Charles undergoes cancer treatment. The video also arrives alongside a preview of William's upcoming ITV documentary focused on his mission to tackle homelessness. In the clip, the Prince explains his commitment to using his royal role to "influence and help people where I can."

In the trailer, William passionately advocates for housing stability, saying, "Everyone having a right to a safe and stable home benefits us all. I come with no other agenda than desperately trying to help people who are in need, and I see that as part of my role." He added, "I like a big challenge, I do like that, but I can't do it on my own."

These appearances underscore William’s deep commitment to social and environmental causes as he steps further into his role as a future King.
