Royals Recreate Memorable Walkabout at Sydney Opera House, Paying Tribute to Harry and Meghan's First Australian Visit
During their final day in Australia, King Charles and Queen Camilla paid tribute to Harry and Meghan’s memorable 2018 tour, as they recreated the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's iconic walkabout at the Sydney Opera House. The King and Queen, greeted by enthusiastic crowds, descended the landmark’s steps, evoking the famed moment when the Duke and Duchess announced they were expecting their first child.
Camilla wore an elegant white silk dress by Fiona Clare, accented with black piping and a brooch symbolising her ties to the Royal Australian Corps of Military Police. Following their walkabout, the couple attended a fleet review of military ships on Sydney Harbour, reaffirming the monarchy’s dedication to its military engagements.
Amid a warm reception, they concluded their visit at the Man O' War Steps, where they were received by notable Australian dignitaries, including Governor-General Ms. Sam Mostyn and Defence Force Chief Admiral David Johnston.
