King Charles Attends Reception Solo as Queen Camilla Reportedly Upset Ahead of Australia Tour

Monarch Prepares for Busy International Trip While Queen Camilla Voices Concerns Over His Health

King Charles attended a high-profile reception alone at St Paul’s Cathedral, ahead of his upcoming tour to Australia and Samoa. The event, hosted by the UK government, marked the conclusion of the International Investment Summit and brought together business leaders and investors to discuss economic growth.

The King’s solo appearance comes amid reports that Queen Camilla is uneasy about their upcoming long-haul tour, which will be King Charles' first international visit since his cancer diagnosis and his first state trip to Australia as monarch. Camilla, who has expressed concerns about her husband’s workload, reportedly wishes for him to “slow down” before embarking on the trip.

According to sources, Queen Camilla has been vocal about the toll the busy schedule may take on the King’s health, particularly as he pauses his cancer treatment for the duration of the tour. Two doctors and a spare blood supply will accompany Charles to ensure he receives proper care throughout the journey.

While Charles has opted out of attending COP29 in Azerbaijan this year, a decision likely made to accommodate his health and tour commitments, reports suggest that Camilla remains uneasy with the overall arrangement, despite her husband’s determination to continue with his duties.
