Monarch’s Medical Team Pauses Treatment to Allow International Travel
King Charles has made significant adjustments to his cancer treatment as he prepares for his first international tour since his diagnosis. The monarch, alongside Queen Camilla, will travel to Australia and Samoa at the end of October, following approval from his medical team with specific conditions in place.
Concerns were raised about how Charles would manage his treatment while undertaking a demanding schedule of royal engagements. According to The Mail, doctors have agreed to temporarily “pause” his treatment during the trip, with plans to resume once he returns to the UK.
During the tour, the King and Queen are expected to handle up to 10 engagements per day, with only one designated rest day. The tour’s schedule has been carefully structured in consultation with his medical team, prioritising Charles’ recovery while maintaining his commitment to work. A travelling doctor will accompany the royal couple, a standard practice for the monarch.
Despite the busy itinerary, doctors have assured that the King, known for his workaholic tendencies, is “energised” by his duties, making it essential to maintain his usual work routine during this challenging period.
