King Charles Declines Surfing Trend Set by Prince Harry, Despite Viral Surf Video

Prince Harry’s love for surfing has captured fans worldwide after a video showcasing his wave-riding skills went viral. However, King Charles, on his Australian tour with Queen Camilla, made it clear he won’t be joining Harry on the surfboard.

During a stop at Manly Beach, a local asked Charles if he’d consider trying surfing. The King, with a smile, replied, “If I was a younger man,” subtly confirming he’s content on the shore. This moment followed Harry’s recent social media spotlight, where a video of him tackling a six-foot wave at the famous Surf Ranch in California stirred admiration.

The Surf Ranch, known for its 2,300-foot artificial wave and praised as the finest man-made wave worldwide, provided the Duke of Sussex a prime stage to showcase his skills and bond with surfing legends like Raimana Van Bastolaer. In a heartfelt post, Van Bastolaer expressed his respect for Harry, sharing, “In Tahiti, we still call you Prince Harry. But at Surf Ranch, it’s my brother.”

While Harry’s enthusiasm for surfing is apparent, King Charles appears happy to leave the waves to his son and focus on other royal duties.
