King Charles Impresses with Dance Lesson Ahead of Samoa Visit

Monarch Prepares for International Tour with Cultural Dance Experience

King Charles, in preparation for his upcoming visit to Australia and Samoa, took part in a surprising dance lesson during a Commonwealth reception at St James' Palace in London. The monarch received the special treat from former rugby player and Samoan High Commission honorary consul, Freddie Tuilagi.

During the evening, Tuilagi led King Charles through a traditional Samoan dance, a moment captured in a heartwarming video. Visibly delighted, Charles eagerly followed along, mirroring Tuilagi's graceful movements after handing his drink to a nearby aide.

Tuilagi later revealed the King thoroughly enjoyed the experience, saying, "He loved it. They were good moves, he had good moves." The dance served as a preview of the cultural experiences awaiting Charles on his first visit to Samoa as Head of the Commonwealth.

The King and Queen Camilla will begin their Autumn Tour from 18th to 26th October 2024. Joining them for the evening at the palace were Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Duke of Kent.
