Monarch recalls special moments from the Waleses’ 2014 tour
During his official visit to Australia, King Charles gave a special nod to his son Prince William and daughter-in-law Princess Kate. The royal family's Instagram page shared a series of throwback photos highlighting key royal visits to Oceania, including an image of William and Catherine from their 2014 tour.
The post also featured a photo of the late Queen Elizabeth II from her 2000 visit and a past image of King Charles and Queen Camilla. The tribute to William and Kate underscored the monarch’s fond memories of the Waleses during his historic trip.
King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived in Sydney on Friday and have since attended several important events, showing support for humanitarian causes. Speaking at the New South Wales parliament, the King expressed his affection for the nation, stating, "What a great joy it is to come to Australia for the first time as Sovereign, and to renew a love of this country and its people which I have cherished for so long."
