King Charles to Bring Medical Team on Australia Tour Amid Health Concerns

Monarch to travel with doctors as cancer treatment pauses during royal visit

King Charles III, 75, is preparing for his much-anticipated tour of Australia and Samoa from October 18 to October 26, but health precautions are taking centre stage. The monarch, who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, has been advised to travel with a medical team as he pauses treatment during his time abroad.

The King will be accompanied by two doctors to monitor his condition throughout the trip. This tour, his first to a Commonwealth realm as monarch, will include several adjustments to ensure he is not overworked. Reports suggest that King Charles' cancer treatment, which began in February following a procedure for a benign enlarged prostate, will resume once he returns to the UK.

While Buckingham Palace has confirmed that his condition is not related to prostate cancer, the exact type and stage of his illness remain undisclosed. Sources indicate the decision to pause treatment while overseas was made on the advice of his doctors.
