New Initiative Aims to Transform Historic Hillview Estate into Cultural Hub
During his Australian tour, King Charles announced the launch of the King’s Foundation Australia, a new branch of his longstanding foundation first established in the UK. Speaking at Admiralty House in Sydney, the King highlighted the foundation's mission to support community initiatives and foster connections between nature and heritage.
The King’s Foundation Australia will oversee the Hillview Estate, a historic property in New South Wales once home to the Governor of the state. This first project, inspired by the revitalisation of Dumfries House in Scotland, aims to create a centre for traditional crafts and practical education, honouring Charles’s commitment to sustainable and harmonious community growth.
Dominic Richards, Chair of the new foundation, praised the initiative’s potential, noting that King Charles’s dedication to balance between humanity and nature "is more important than ever."
