PR Expert Reveals Harry 'Exploited' by US Agents Amid Royal Exit Missteps
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been described as "used as cash cows" by PR expert Carla Speight, who highlights a crucial mistake made after their 2020 move to the US. Following their decision to step down from royal duties and relocate to California, Speight claims that working with US agents was a misstep that left the couple vulnerable.
In an interview with Express.co.uk, Speight explained that after Harry’s proposal to work remotely with the Royal Family was rejected, he was exploited by American agents. "He was suddenly given the freedom to say whatever he wanted," Speight noted, suggesting that this newfound liberty complicated their public image.
Speight emphasised that rather than guiding them through their transition from royal life, agents encouraged the couple to "speak their truth," leading to what she views as a mismanagement of their narrative.
Since stepping back from royal duties, Harry and Meghan have shared their experiences through projects like their Netflix series and Harry’s memoir, which have stirred controversy. Recent reports suggest that friends are concerned the couple may be "drifting apart," as Harry has embarked on solo trips to the UK and Africa, while Meghan has remained in California.
