Duke of Sussex Focuses on Solo Charity Work in UK and South Africa
Meghan Markle and the Duke of Sussex are reportedly developing a new approach, with each focusing on individual projects. While Meghan works on her own ventures, including cooking content for Netflix, Harry has been taking on more solo engagements, recently making appearances in the UK and South Africa.
Following his attendance at the WellChild Awards in London, Harry travelled to South Africa to promote his charity Sentebale, which supports children and young adults with HIV/AIDS. During his visit, the Duke passionately highlighted the work of the charity, co-founded with Prince Seeiso.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams noted the significance of Harry's recent activities, stating that they have been “uncontroversial” and hinting that Meghan and Harry may be planning a new strategy. Fitzwilliams also commented on Harry's Netflix docu-series on polo, which features him less prominently, suggesting a shift in focus for the Duke.
As Harry continues his solo engagements, Fitzwilliams observed that the Duke appeared to be reliving "old times," reminiscent of his work as a senior royal. His interactions with families at the WellChild Awards and his charitable efforts in Lesotho have been met with success, as he continues to focus on causes close to his heart.
