Royal expert Jennie Bond, speaking to The Sun, praised Meghan’s independence, calling her "an independent, forthright woman" with her own career, charities, and causes. Bond noted that Meghan "could have been exactly what a modern monarchy needs" but added that the monarchy may not have handled her entry into royal life as carefully as they should have.
However, Bond also described Meghan as a "diva," stating that the former actress struggled with having her "wings clipped" while in the royal fold.
