Mike Tindall Reflects on Royal Life Amidst Harry and Meghan's Ongoing Feud

The former rugby star defends the monarchy while sharing personal insights into life within the Royal Family

Mike Tindall has offered his perspective on life within the Royal Family amidst ongoing tensions caused by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's public criticisms. The Sussexes, who stepped down as senior royals four years ago, have since aired grievances in various outlets, including their Netflix series, Oprah Winfrey interview, and Harry's memoir Spare, which details personal conflicts and strained relationships within the family.

In response to these tensions, Tindall, married to Zara Tindall, cousin of Prince William, has defended the monarchy while offering lighthearted reflections in his new book, co-authored with James Haskell and Alex Payne. Tindall's podcast, The Good, the Bad & the Rugby, has also featured royal guests, including Princess Anne and the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Reflecting on his own experiences of joining the royal fold, Tindall remarked in his book, "Marrying into the Royal Family was pretty easy for me. They were always nice to me, and I was always nice to them. Simple really."

Tindall shared humorous moments, such as co-host Haskell’s amusing introduction to Prince William and his disappointment over the modest snacks at Windsor Castle. Additionally, Tindall praised his mother-in-law, Princess Anne, for her keen knowledge of rugby, revealing that their conversations often revolve around the sport.

His reflections come as he continues to support the monarchy amidst the ongoing feud with Harry and Meghan.
