Prince Andrew's Plans for Frogmore Cottage Could Spark New Tensions with King Charles

Duke of York eyes Harry and Meghan's former residence for daughter Eugenie amid ongoing property dispute

Prince Andrew may be set to cause fresh tension with King Charles III as he reportedly seeks to secure Frogmore Cottage for his daughter Princess Eugenie and her family. The Duke of York has been embroiled in a long-standing dispute over the Royal Lodge, but according to insiders, his focus has now shifted to the vacant property once occupied by Harry and Meghan.

Frogmore Cottage, which has remained empty since the Sussexes were evicted in 2023 following the release of Harry's memoir Spare, is being considered by Andrew as a new home for Eugenie, her husband Jack Brooksbank, and their two children, August and Ernest. A source revealed to The Express that while Andrew has no plans to move into Frogmore himself, he is keen to secure it for his daughter.

Eugenie, who currently splits her time between the UK and Portugal, has stayed at Frogmore on several occasions since Harry and Meghan's departure. With her growing family in need of more space, the property is seen as an ideal option.

The source added, "Andrew knows Beatrice is settled, so he's focused on finding a long-term family home for Eugenie. While he won’t leave the Royal Lodge, he wants to hold onto Frogmore Cottage for his daughter’s future."

This latest development in the ongoing property dispute could create further tension between Andrew and the King as decisions about royal residences continue to unfold.
