Duke of Sussex Criticised for Keeping Children Away Amid King’s Health Battle
Prince Harry is reportedly intensifying concerns for his father, King Charles III, by keeping his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, away from the ailing monarch. As King Charles continues his cancer treatment, Harry’s decision has added further tension to an already strained relationship.
According to royal expert Tom Quinn, Harry is accused of using his children as “bargaining chips” in his ongoing rift with the King. Despite the monarch’s desire to reconcile with his son, Harry’s refusal to grant access to Archie and Lilibet is seen as a form of retribution for perceived past wrongs.
Quinn, in an interview, criticised Harry’s actions, claiming that the Duke’s obsession with punishing his father has mirrored the very family dynamics he once condemned. "It’s ironic," Quinn said, "that Harry is now using his children in a battle with his father, similar to how Charles and Diana used William and Harry in their own conflicts."
The expert further revealed that while King Charles has refrained from publicly lashing out at Harry, privately, he is deeply hurt. Reportedly, the King is so frustrated that he has started refusing phone calls from his son.
Despite his anger, King Charles hopes for reconciliation, believing that Harry should move past their differences for the sake of the children. However, the use of Archie and Lilibet as leverage in this family dispute has left the King feeling betrayed, with Quinn stating, “In Charles’ view, this is unforgivable.”
