Duke of Sussex Promotes Climate Resilience Project as Earthshot Prize Approaches
Prince Harry has taken a meaningful step towards addressing climate change, aligning with his brother Prince William’s environmental efforts as the Earthshot Prize awards draw near. The Duke of Sussex recently attended an event in the Leribe District of Lesotho, where he explored a local climate resilience project organised by his charity, Sentebale.
During the visit, Harry engaged with community members who shared their stories, celebrating both their cultural heritage and the innovative methods they are using to combat climate change. According to a statement from the Sussex office, the event provided a platform for the Duke and visiting international leaders to learn about sustainable solutions that support livelihoods and address the impacts of climate change.
While relations between the brothers remain strained, their shared dedication to environmental causes highlights their unity in working towards a better planet. Prince William’s Earthshot Prize, which seeks solutions to repair the environment, mirrors Harry's involvement in sustainability projects through Sentebale.
Harry’s visit to Lesotho continued with a visit to the Pointmain Health Facility, where he met with healthcare workers involved in providing crucial support to children and young adults. His day also included meeting young women participating in socio-economic programmes run by his charity, further emphasising his ongoing commitment to improving lives in the region.
