Despite the ongoing royal rift, Prince Harry has reportedly honoured a promise made to Catherine, the Princess of Wales, during his recent UK visit. Once known for his close bond with Catherine, Harry still holds her in high regard, despite the tension that has developed since his departure from royal duties in 2020.
According to Closer Magazine, Harry, who has had strained relations with his brother Prince William, was one of the first to privately offer support to Catherine following her cancer diagnosis earlier this year. The two have been in contact since, with Harry pledging to help her in any way he could.
The Princess of Wales arranged a private meeting with Harry during his visit on September 30th, reportedly setting a specific condition—that they meet alone. Harry, who once fondly referred to Catherine as "the sister he never had," kept his word.
An insider revealed that Catherine has noticed a shift in Harry’s demeanour during their recent conversations, remarking on his struggles to adjust to life in California and suggesting he may be feeling "homesick." Catherine has long been concerned about Harry and has played a quiet role in maintaining connections with him, even being credited as the driving force behind the recent birthday message posted for Harry’s milestone birthday.
Though official sources have yet to confirm the private meeting, Catherine’s efforts appear to be part of a broader attempt to help Harry reconcile with his family and perhaps even consider a return to the UK.
