Duke of Sussex Set to Launch Polo Docuseries as Brother’s Homelessness Documentary Airs
Harry is reportedly preparing a surprising response to his brother, William, after the Prince of Wales extended an olive branch during an interview promoting his new homelessness documentary. The Duke of Sussex, following William’s recent outreach, is set to release a new Netflix series in December, shortly after William’s documentary Prince William: We Can End Homelessness airs internationally on Disney+ on November 1.
This upcoming series, Polo, co-produced by Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Productions, will primarily focus on renowned polo player and Harry's friend, Nacho Figueras. The five-part series will showcase Figueras's life in the sport, with Harry reportedly taking a minimal role in the project.
Palace insiders express concern that Harry’s decision to pursue this release may complicate reconciliation efforts. “Harry’s move is hugely disappointing and may dampen hopes of ending the rift,” one source commented, adding, “It seems reconciliation is not in sight.”
The Sussexes signed a lucrative deal with Netflix in 2020 after stepping down from their royal roles but have since faced mixed reception with their projects. While their debut series drew significant interest, Harry’s solo project, Heart of Invictus, didn’t replicate the same success. With Polo, insiders indicate the focus on Figueras instead of Harry might limit its appeal, especially as the couple’s streaming deal with Netflix approaches its expiration next year.
