Duke of Sussex ‘Honoured’ to Celebrate 16 Years as Patron of the WellChild Charity
Harry was warmly welcomed by WellChild as he arrived in the UK to attend the charity’s annual awards. As a patron for 16 years, Harry expressed his pride in supporting the charity, which celebrates the courage and achievements of children with complex medical needs.
In a social media post, WellChild shared their excitement, writing, “We are very excited to welcome our winners and guests later!” The event will see Harry honouring remarkable children, their caregivers, and professionals.
Harry told People Magazine that he feels “honoured” to continue his involvement with WellChild, despite stepping back from his royal duties in 2020. He praised the young award recipients and their caregivers, calling it a privilege to recognise such extraordinary individuals.
At present, there are no confirmed additional engagements for Harry during his stay in the UK.
