Prince Harry Receives Warm Welcome in South Africa for Charity Visit

Duke of Sussex makes first solo trip to the region in nearly five years

After his heartfelt appearance at the WellChild Awards in the UK, Prince Harry has touched down in South Africa for his first visit in nearly five years. The Duke of Sussex was warmly received, and he was photographed alongside Princess Senate Seeiso of Lesotho shortly after his arrival.

Princess Senate, niece of Prince Seeiso—Harry’s co-founder of the charity Sentebale—shared a photo of the two, with Harry dressed in a casual white button-down and dark pants, while the African princess donned a beige silk dress in a traditional silhouette.

Royal correspondent Victoria Ward shared the news on social media, highlighting Harry’s lunch with the 23-year-old princess and his ongoing commitment to Sentebale. Founded in 2006 to honour his mother, Princess Diana, Sentebale works to support disadvantaged children in Southern Africa.

During his visit, Prince Harry will meet with business leaders, philanthropists, and local stakeholders in Lesotho to further the charity’s mission. His trip also includes discussions with local leaders and youth advocates to promote digital and economic inclusion for the next generation.

Harry’s last visit to South Africa was in 2019, when he was joined by his wife, Meghan Markle. This time, however, the Duke is on a solo trip, continuing his philanthropic efforts in the region.
