Though Prince Harry may no longer be in regular contact with his niece and nephews, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, they still hold a special place in his heart. The Duke of Sussex, who has had a strained relationship with his brother, William, has previously spoken about his affection for the children.
In a candid interview with royal biographer Angela Levin in 2017, Harry reflected on his position in the line of succession, which shifted after William and Catherine welcomed their three children. When asked about his rank in the royal family, Harry responded sweetly, “The reason I am now fifth is because of my nephew and niece, and I could never wish them away. They are the most amazing things ever.”
At the time, Harry also expressed his desire to one day have children of his own and provide them with a "relatively normal life." That wish came true when he and Meghan Markle welcomed their son Archie in 2019 and daughter Lilibet in 2021.
A rare moment showing the bond between Harry’s family and his niece and nephews emerged in resurfaced photos from a polo match in 2019. In the images, George, Charlotte, and Louis are seen affectionately watching over their young cousin Archie, capturing a tender connection despite the physical distance between the families.
