Duke of Sussex Misses Opportunity to Join Brother in Homelessness Initiative Inspired by Their Mother
Harry reportedly feels the sting of being left out of a significant tribute to his late mother, Princess Diana, as his rift with the royal family continues. The Duke of Sussex, who has long been passionate about causes close to Diana's heart, was not involved in William's recent homelessness initiative.
Royal biographer Phil Dampier speculated that Harry may feel regret over missing out on William’s Homewards project, a five-year plan to combat homelessness in the U.K. Inspired by Diana’s dedication to the less fortunate, William shared that the cause reminds him of their childhood experiences, as Diana often took her sons to witness the realities faced by those without homes.
Dampier suggested that Harry might perceive this as William seeking to "show him up," though he clarified that the intent was likely not to exclude Harry but to advance Diana’s legacy.
Reflecting on the brothers' current division, Dampier commented that Diana would be heartbroken to see her sons, once united by shared causes, so distant from each other.
