The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left off the guest list for this year's royal festive gathering at Sandringham
Harry and Meghan Markle, currently residing in Montecito with their two children, have faced a fresh setback from the royal family ahead of a major holiday event.
Reports indicate that their hopes of celebrating Christmas with the royal family have been dashed, as they have not been included in the invitation list for the festive gathering at Sandringham House this year. Buckingham Palace aides have confirmed that preparations for the Christmas dinner, to be hosted in the Sandringham ballroom due to the large number of attendees, are already underway, but the Sussexes have not received an invite.
King Charles and Queen Camilla have sent out their official invitations for the gathering, which will follow a similar format to last year’s successful event. The ballroom dinner, described as a buffet-style roast with traditional trimmings, will see many family members in attendance, though Harry, Meghan, and their children, Archie and Lilibet, will not be present.
Though they have been extended an invitation to spend the holidays with the Spencer family at Althorp, insiders believe it is unlikely the Sussexes will make the trip to the UK this December.
