Prince of Wales to Honour Groundbreaking Environmental Solutions at Prestigious Event in South Africa
Prince William thrilled royal fans with a recent announcement about a cause close to his heart: the Earthshot Prize. On October 29, he and the Earthshot Prize organisation shared a video on social media, revealing that this year’s award ceremony will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, on November 6.

It also shared, "On Wednesday 6 November, 15 extraordinary solutions to repair our planet will be celebrated... This year’s five Winners will each be awarded £1 million to scale their solutions.”
The Earthshot Prize, founded by William and The Royal Foundation, is a global environmental initiative aimed at recognising five individuals or groups annually for their innovative contributions toward environmental sustainability. This year’s event will be streamed live on Earthshot’s YouTube and Multichoice platforms, allowing viewers worldwide to join the celebration of impactful solutions.
