Future King honours his mother’s legacy in upcoming ITV documentary on homelessness
Prince William has paid a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Princess Diana, in a newly released video promoting his upcoming ITV documentary, Prince William: We Can End Homelessness. The video, shared on October 13 via social media, highlights William’s commitment to addressing homelessness, an issue his mother passionately championed.
In the clip, William reflects on his role, saying, "I have slowly tried to work out what can I bring to the role and the platform that I have. I have taken some guidance and inspiration from what my mother did, particularly with homelessness." He further expressed his belief that homelessness should no longer exist in the 21st century.
The documentary will follow the first year of William’s initiative, Homewards, which aims to demonstrate that ending homelessness is possible. William shared that he hopes to "challenge" the narrative surrounding homelessness and inspire change.
The Prince of Wales and his brother, Harry, have both extended Princess Diana’s legacy through their involvement in philanthropic efforts, continuing her dedication to causes close to her heart. The documentary is set to air soon on ITV and ITVX, promising an intimate look at William’s mission to tackle one of society’s most pressing issues.
