Prince William Spreads Joy During Poignant Visit to Cornwall

Duke of Cornwall marks third appearance of the week with a meaningful visit to Duchy College.

Prince William, known as the Duke of Cornwall while in the area, was all smiles today as he visited Duchy College Stoke Climsland in Callington, Cornwall. This marks his third public appearance this week, highlighting his dedication to engaging with rural communities and youth development.

During his visit, the Prince of Wales explored the college's efforts to create opportunities for young people in rural areas. He was welcomed warmly by college staff, who were eager to showcase the initiatives aimed at environmental sustainability and innovation.

William’s day included participation in a CSI training exercise led by students from the Military & Protective Services Academy, adding a unique touch to his tour. He also visited a student-run café and met with students involved in the Future Farm program, which focuses on sustainable agriculture and rural enterprise.

Duchy College, originally founded on land leased by the Duchy of Cornwall in 1984, is a leader in land-based education in Southwest England. Offering degrees in equine science, agriculture, and horticulture, the college has continued to expand, with the Duchy playing a key role in its growth. The Land Steward team even participates in mock farm tender exercises with Year 2 Agriculture students, providing hands-on experience for the next generation of land managers.

This visit, along with his earlier engagements this week, underscores Prince William’s commitment to fostering youth development and supporting sustainable initiatives across the Duchy of Cornwall.
