Prince Harry receives setback as family dynamics shift ahead of King Charles' Australia tour
Prince Harry’s attempts to reconcile with his royal relatives appear to be falling flat, as members of the royal family seem to have moved on from the Duke’s ongoing tensions.
Princess Kate, who is gradually returning to public life, has reportedly abandoned plans to reach out to Harry in an effort to end the family feud. Despite Harry’s reported desire to make amends, sources indicate that the Prince and Princess of Wales are focused on their own priorities, leaving little room for reconciliation.
Jennie Bond, former BBC royal correspondent, explained that Catherine now has "far too much on her plate" to engage with her estranged brother-in-law. Her focus is firmly on her family and her gradual return to royal duties after a period of illness, which Bond suggested has strengthened her marriage with William.
Bond noted that while there may have been attempts in the past to bridge the gap between the brothers, Catherine’s loyalty lies with her husband, and she is unlikely to pressure William into extending an olive branch unless he chooses to do so. For now, the possibility of mending ties with Harry appears distant, as the royal family continues to prioritise other matters ahead of King Charles’ upcoming tour to Australia.
