Duke of Sussex faces opposition amid potential UK return
Queen Camilla has reportedly taken a firm stance against Princess Kate’s attempts to bring Harry back into the royal fold. According to GB, the Queen Consort is "opposed to Harry making any sort of return, even for a friendly visit," reflecting ongoing tensions between the two.
Harry and Camilla have had a strained relationship for years, with Harry famously referring to her as "the other woman" in his memoir Spare. His public remarks and criticisms of Camilla in various interviews have only widened the divide.
A royal insider revealed that Camilla has no interest in reconciliation, stating, "She doesn’t want to come face to face with him, let alone show him any kind of forgiveness or mercy." Camilla reportedly sees Harry as a "wolf in sheep’s clothing" who portrays the royal family negatively, and she fears that his return could worsen King Charles’s health, especially as he battles cancer.
This opposition comes as Kate Middleton reportedly pushes for a reconciliation between Harry and the royal family. Closer magazine claims that Kate believes this is Harry’s "last chance" to make amends and hopes for a public apology to heal the family rift. However, Camilla’s resistance adds a significant hurdle to any potential reunion.
