Queen Camilla Embraces Fashion Freedom for Australia and Samoa Tour

New dress code liberties allow Queen Camilla to make bold wardrobe choices for royal trip

The Royal Family is renowned for upholding a strict code of conduct, particularly concerning dress during official engagements. Queen Camilla, preparing for her first international trip to Australia and Samoa with King Charles since his ascension, has made a significant decision regarding her attire.

Traditionally, senior royals avoid wearing similar colours to each other to prevent any risk of overshadowing. While Catherine is known for favouring the colour blue, Camilla has often been limited by these dress codes, despite also liking the shade. Now, as a senior royal, Camilla gets priority in selecting her colours.

A source revealed, “The Queen is now able to choose her outfits before the other women in the Royal Family. It’s part of the royal hierarchy, including clothes and colour choices.”

Camilla’s stylist, Jacqui Meakin, has confirmed that Queen Camilla is expected to wear numerous blue outfits during the Australia and Samoa tour. Previously, Meakin was cautious about allowing blue to be worn at the same time as Queen Elizabeth, but this restriction has now relaxed, provided the shades are different.

With this newfound fashion freedom, Queen Camilla is reportedly taking full advantage, preparing a wardrobe filled with blue outfits for the upcoming royal visit.
