Royal Couple Prepares for Nine-Day Journey as King Charles Makes His First Visit as Monarch
As King Charles embarks on his historic nine-day tour of Australia, Queen Camilla may encounter difficulties during the trip, which is expected to be "extremely exhausting" for the 76-year-old royal. According to Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, the Queen's endurance will be tested throughout the tour.
The royal couple is set to arrive in Sydney on Friday, followed by visits to Canberra and Samoa before returning to the UK on October 26. Seward shared that while Queen Camilla has adapted to royal life, she still faces physical challenges, including fatigue and discomfort from travelling long distances and dealing with heat, which can cause her feet to swell.
Despite these concerns, experts believe Queen Camilla will ensure the tour is a success, as the trip marks an important milestone for King Charles, his first official visit to a Commonwealth country as the reigning monarch. This will be King Charles’ 17th visit to Australia but his first since 2018, when he attended the Commonwealth Games in Queensland.
