Buckingham Palace Releases Heartwarming Video as Camilla Marks Milestone in Osteoporosis Advocacy
Ahead of her upcoming tour with King Charles, Queen Camilla hosted a special event at Clarence House to celebrate "The Queen’s Award for Osteoporosis." Buckingham Palace released a touching video of the occasion, along with a statement acknowledging Camilla's ongoing commitment to bone health advocacy.
At the event, Her Majesty presented the newly renamed award to Dr Nicola Peel, recognising her work in improving osteoporosis care and fracture prevention. As President of the Royal Osteoporosis Society since 1994, Camilla has played a vital role in raising awareness about the disease, continuing her long-standing dedication to the cause.
The Queen’s engagement came just days before she and King Charles are set to embark on a highly anticipated tour to Australia and Samoa, where they will attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting from 18th to 26th October 2024.
