Queen Camilla Tackles Jet Lag with Frequent Stops During Australian Royal Tour

King Charles and Queen Camilla Travel Separately as She Adjusts to Grueling Journey

Queen Camilla candidly shared her struggle with jet lag during her and King Charles’s nine-day royal tour of Australia. After arriving in Sydney, the 77-year-old Queen admitted she was still adjusting to the time difference, responding "Sort of" when asked if she had recovered.

The royal couple took separate flights, with King Charles departing London on October 17 after completing several royal duties. Queen Camilla, who has a known fear of flying, opted for a later flight with more frequent stops to manage the long journey. She has previously spoken about her husband’s "workaholic" tendencies, explaining why he stayed longer in London to fulfill his commitments.

After resting on Saturday, the couple attended St Thomas' Anglican Church in North Sydney on Sunday. They were presented with gifts for their grandchildren, including a rugby ball, cricket ball, and a stuffed koala.

During the visit, King Charles expressed his deep affection for Australia, marking his first tour as Sovereign. He reflected on the evolving nature of democratic systems, emphasizing their importance and the need to keep them relevant and effective.
