Skilled carriage driver and dedicated student likely to pursue private life outside royal duties
Lady Louise Windsor, known for her talents in horse riding and carriage driving, is expected to maintain a low-profile lifestyle, away from the traditional royal spotlight, according to royal experts. As she enters her third year at the University of St Andrews, where she is part of the University Officers' Training Corps, Louise approaches her 21st birthday with a focus on her personal interests and education.
Despite being the niece of King Charles III, royal commentator Joe Little of Majesty magazine suggests that Louise is unlikely to take on an active role in royal duties, as her uncle looks to streamline the monarchy. "I don't ever envisage her being a full-time or even part-time working royal," Little said, adding that while she may attend family events, she is expected to pursue her own path.
Although entitled to the style of "Her Royal Highness," her parents, Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie, chose not to use the title for Louise, allowing her greater independence. Alongside her academic pursuits, Louise has embraced her passion for carriage driving, a skill she shares with her late grandfather, Prince Philip, and has developed her confidence through involvement in the Brownies, much like her mother, who serves as President of Girlguiding UK.
With a focus on privacy and personal growth, Lady Louise's future is expected to remain largely out of the public eye, as experts agree her profile will likely continue to be low-key in the coming years.
