Actress Discusses the Inspiration Behind Her Performance at the London Film Festival
Selena Gomez captivated audiences at the BAFTA screening of Emilia Pérez during the London Film Festival.
On October 13, the 32-year-old actress made a striking appearance at a special screening at 195 Piccadilly in London’s Square Mile. Dressed in a sleek black gown and glossy pumps, Selena completed her look with a simple low ponytail.
During the event, Selena shared her excitement about working on Emilia Pérez. “I wanted to be a part of this for many reasons,” she said, praising director Jacques and her fellow cast members. “As an actor, you’re lucky to work with someone like Jacques. I’m honoured to have learned from these amazing women.”
Selena also reflected on her role as Jessi Del Monte, the ex-wife of a transgender Mexican cartel leader, in the crime musical, describing the film as a stepping stone in her career.
“I don’t think we expected it to have this impact, but we’re really grateful,” she added.
