Tom Parker Bowles Praises King Charles, Celebrates Queen Camilla’s Happiness

Food Critic and Author Reflects on Royal Family Ties in Latest Book

Tom Parker Bowles, the son of Queen Camilla and a well-known British food writer, has launched his eighth book, Cooking and the Crown, which explores his personal connection to the Royal Family. Released on September 24th, the book highlights his admiration for the collaboration and partnership between King Charles and Queen Camilla, praising their deep bond and teamwork within their marriage.

In his latest work, Parker Bowles described the King as "the kindest, most knowledgeable, lovely man," noting his expertise in food and his commitment to farming. He stated, "He's trodden every corner of his kingdom; he’s a farming hero."

Reflecting on his own role as the Queen's son, Parker Bowles addressed potential perceptions of nepotism in his career but defended his right to share his insights after more than two decades of food writing. He also spoke warmly about his mother’s relationship with the King, saying, "They work well together, and we're happy that our mother’s happy."

Parker Bowles recalled the challenges Queen Camilla faced before her marriage to King Charles in 2005, particularly during the mid-1990s when she endured intense media scrutiny and harassment. He praised her resilience as both a mother and public figure, sharing personal memories of his childhood as "a lovely, happy English upbringing," filled with a love of family, food, and drink.
