Queen Camilla Shares Health Update on King Charles Ahead of ITV Documentary Premiere
Buckingham Palace responded to recent revelations about King Charles' earnings by sharing an update on his health through Queen Camilla’s upcoming documentary, Her Majesty The Queen: Behind Closed Doors. In the documentary, Camilla reveals that the King, who has been battling cancer, is “doing really well.”
Set to air on Monday, November 11, the much-anticipated documentary highlights Camilla’s advocacy on domestic violence, an issue she addresses with deep empathy. In promotional clips, Camilla is seen moved to tears as she hears survivors’ stories, expressing her shock at the scale of the violence and urging for increased public awareness.
“It’s horrifying to see the number of people suffering,” Camilla said in a heartfelt statement, adding, “If more people could join the conversation, perhaps we could find ways to end it.”
The update on King Charles’ health arrives amid fresh controversy, as an investigation by The Mirror and Channel 4’s Dispatches revealed substantial earnings by senior royals from public and charitable sources. The King’s Duchy of Lancaster, for example, reportedly receives £11.4 million from a deal with an NHS hospital for electric ambulance storage, and will gain an additional £28 million in rent from wind farm infrastructure on its lands.
The revelations have sparked debate, adding tension to the royal family’s public image even as Camilla and Charles focus on philanthropic and health initiatives.
