Royal Couple Makes Low-Key Stop at Wellness Retreat to Rejuvenate Following Australia and Samoa Visit
After completing a demanding 11-day tour of Australia and Samoa, King Charles and Queen Camilla quietly diverted to the SOUKYA wellness resort in Bangalore, India, to recharge. Reports indicate the couple chose this secluded retreat to break up their lengthy 35-hour return journey to the UK, spending three days in restful activities.
The exclusive resort, operated by long-time royal health advisor Dr Issac Mathai, specialises in Ayurvedic treatments, yoga, and wellness programs. Charles, who paused his cancer treatment to focus on the state visit, reportedly decided to “rest and reset” with Camilla at the tranquil location, which offers morning yoga sessions, spa treatments, and a nourishing vegetarian menu.
Sources note that the royal couple’s stay was covered privately, and their trip, made on commercial flights, remained largely under the radar. Dr Mathai previously described the King and Queen as “the least demanding of guests,” further underscoring the couple’s preference for a humble, health-focused retreat.
