Loose Horse Causes Brief Commotion During 41-Gun Salute at Green Park
King Charles's 76th birthday celebration took an unexpected turn today at Green Park, where a minor incident disrupted the proceedings just before the 41-Gun Salute.
As the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery prepared to honour the monarch, a horse unexpectedly bolted, throwing its rider and causing brief chaos in the park. The runaway horse darted through crowds of royal supporters who had gathered to celebrate the occasion.
Viral footage captured the moment as the horse galloped wildly, prompting onlookers to step back in fear. Despite the brief commotion, the horse was safely brought under control within 30 seconds, and no injuries were reported.
The incident, which involved one of the 70 horses participating in the ceremony, echoed a similar mishap earlier this year when three horses broke loose ahead of the King’s Birthday Parade in April.
The King’s birthday was marked by traditional fanfare, including the gun salute, despite the unexpected interruption that briefly unsettled the festivities.
