Meghan Markle has reportedly taken a significant step toward a royal reunion, surprising Prince Harry with her decision to face the royal family. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to have purchased a property in Portugal, providing them with a European base for future UK visits.
According to Closer magazine, Meghan’s choice reflects a willingness to confront past challenges with the royals, despite lingering "wounds" from her time as a working royal. A source noted that the new European residence would allow Meghan to “fly back to the UK and finally face the royals in what could be a tense reunion.”
An insider revealed that while Meghan is “incredibly nervous” about meeting with King Charles, Prince William, and Princess Catherine, she recognises that this is a necessary step, especially as Harry has expressed a desire to reconnect with his family.
The source added, “Meghan believes that if Harry is going to make amends with the royals, she should be part of it, too. She wants to show she can’t simply be sidelined while he reconnects alone.”
