Experts Say American Riviera Orchard Appears 'in Crisis' Amid Launch Delays
Meghan Markle’s lifestyle venture, American Riviera Orchard, has reportedly come under scrutiny as branding experts question its viability. The Duchess of Sussex first teased her brand in March, promising an array of products spanning food, home goods, and pet care. However, the anticipated official launch has yet to materialise, leaving fans and investors waiting.
Branding expert Matt Yanofsky voiced significant concerns, stating, "If I were an investor, I'd be trying to pull my money out." He described the atmosphere around the brand as one where "people seem to be panicking to try and make money back." Yanofsky noted that while a product success or strategic partnership could shift the brand's trajectory, the current outlook remains troubling.
The expert also questioned if Markle’s fan base is robust enough to support the brand long-term, remarking, "It all comes down to this: is her fan base big enough to sustain it?" Compounding these challenges, American Riviera Orchard recently faced issues with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, which raised concerns over the brand's logo design and the use of geographical names.
With uncertainty clouding the brand’s future, observers now await Meghan’s next move to stabilise her entrepreneurial ambitions.
